He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2004 and completed specialist medical oncology training in Brisbane in 2014. In 2019, he completed a laboratory-based translational PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, focusing on ovarian and rare cancers, while concurrently practising as a medical oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Ho now leads a translational research group within the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash University and is a senior medical oncologist at Monash Health and the Clinical Trials Unit, where he treats patients with breast and gynaecologic cancers. He is the founder and chair of Monash Live-Biobanking (MoLBi), a clinician-led platform that provides real-time access to fresh tumour specimens and integrates advanced multi-omics, pre-clinical modelling, and immunotherapy discovery. MoLBi accelerates the translation of scientific findings into clinical applications and supports the development of bespoke cell-based immunotherapies for the hardest-to-treat cancers.
